   Here is a series of items I have saved from various sources--most of
   them opposing huge dams planned for the Sardar Sarovar and Narmada
   Sagar projects in India. The opposition is due to claimed deficiencies
   in (1) the environmental safeguards, (2) resettlement & rehabilitation
   of the oustees, or (3) economic soundness associated with the dams.
