dam-l resettlement vigil, DC/LS

This is something IRN is helping to organize in Washingon, DC as part of the
"A16 actions" (around the WBank annual spring meeting).

A VIGIL FOR THE VICTIMS
OF FORCED RESETTLEMENT

in solidarity with those who have been displaced and
seen their lives destroyed by World Bank Projects

World Bank-financed resettlement tends to impoverish the poorest and most
marginalized communities, who are forced to make way in the name of
"development" projects such as large dams and power plants. All over the world,
tens of millions of people have had their lives completely destroyed as a
result. Currently World Bank projects in implementation are resettling 3.2
million people (involuntary resettlement).

Come and learn more about what YOU can do
in the struggle against displacement!
