Protest Lands for Life
(a.k.a. Lands for Logging Companies)

The Harris government's Lands for Life program is coming to Ottawa,
with public hearings on April 2, 2-9 pm at the Congress Centre.
What is Lands for Life? It should really be called Lands for Logging
Companies, because it is the Harris regime's plan to hand control of
almost half of Ontario to logging multinationals. An area of 46 million
hectares is affected - an area the size of the Yukon, and twice as large
as all of the Maritime provinces combined.
The Lands for Life program has come up with its first set of
recommendations, which offer only token protection for Ontario's
old-growth forests. Please join us on Thursday, to protest Lands for Life
(a.k.a. Lands for Logging Companies).
