Tomorrow: Stop Logging Algonquin Park!
Tuesday, October 27, Ottawa
Speak up against logging in Algonquin Park!
The Ontario government is currently rewriting the 20 year Algonquin Park logging plan. Through this public meeting they are seeking public input on the "strategic direction" of the Algonquin logging plan. Tell them what you really think - no logging is appropriate in Algonquin Park.
Logging does not belong in any provincial park and Algonquin should not be an exception. Logging and related activities such as road construction and fire suppression are slowly killing Algonquin Park. Plant and animal species are disappearing from the park, while new invasive species are being introduced.
Please attend to learn what the Ontario government has planned for Algonquin and join us in demanding that this Forest Management Plan include steps to end logging in Algonquin Park.
All are on a drop in basis from 2:00 to 4:30 pm and 6:30 to 9:30 pm.
Ottawa: Tuesday October 27. Community Gallery, Canadian Museum of Nature, 240 McLeod Street at Metcalfe.
