Join the Ottawa chapter of the New Politics Initiative on Thursday September 
26th as we discuss the World Social Forum that took place this past January.  
This will be an opportunity to hear from and discuss the WSF with speakers who 
attended this momentous event in Porto Alegre, Brazil where delegates discussed 
participatory democracy, local governance, international trade, labour rights, 
health and medicine, sustainable environments, indigenous peoples, and more. 


Come out to a community discussion led off by local folks who attended the 2002 
World Social Forum in Porto Alegre, including:

Lynn Bue, Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW)
John Foster, North-South Institute
Pam Kapoor, National Anti-Poverty Organization (NAPO)
