Canadian Friends of Burma is hosting an international Burma activist
conference. 

WHEN: 	Wednesday, Oct.9 
	9am-5pm
WHERE: 	Crowne Plaza Hotel

The event is free and open to the public.  

The focus will be the role of the international community in promoting
Democracy in Burma.  Issues to be discussed include human rights, forced
labour, refugees, women's issues, foreign investment, humanitarian
assistance and education.   International Activists, Canadian Activists,
NGOs, unions, MPs, media and gov't representatives have been invited.
