[OPIRG-EVENTS] Reminder: Maude Barlow on Healthcare Tuesday

Find out why for-profit health care is dangerous to your health

On Tuesday 5 November, Maude Barlow, Chairperson of the Council of 
Canadians, and Judy Darcy, President of the Canadian Union of Public 
Employees (CUPE), will talk about the creeping privatisation of our 
public health care system and its potentially disastrous effects on the 
health of Canadians. Joining them will be Michael Hurley, President of 
the Ontario Council of Hospital Unions (OCHU).

Come and hear them in Ottawa at St. John the Evangelist church 
(northeast corner of Elgin and Somerset) on Tuesday 5th November from 
7:00-9:30 PM.

 The event, part of a tour of 55 communities across Ontario, is 
co-sponsored by the Council of Canadians, OCHU and the Ontario Health 
Coalition.

 Admission is FREE.

Copies of Maude Barlow's new book, *Profit is Not the Cure: A Citizen ' 
s Guide to Saving Medicare* will be available for purchase and signing 
by the author.

*Videos* of the 19 October Mass Rally at the Royal Ottawa Hospital
