The Toronto Video Activist Collective is proud to release VideoActive 4
(VA4) - a compilation of irreverent short political videos documenting
protest, direct action and dissent from Toronto and across the
hemisphere.
VA4 includes videos on the Pope Squat, anti-G8 protests in Calgary,
Ottawa and Toronto, a rock video for band 'Rift', the Falconbridge mine
strike in Sudbury and an animated short of George 'the Moron' Bush,
doing what he does best. VA4 also includes shorts from Whistler, Mexico
City, Quebec City, and Ecuador.
As well as videos by regular contributors David Hermolin, Michelle
Power, Siue Moffat, Jonathan Culp and David-James Fernandes, we are
proud to present the debut video production of Avi Lewis and Naomi
Klein - the Argentina documentary "ĄGustavo Benedetto Presente!" which
explores the shooting of a young activist by private security guards.
TVAC (Toronto Video Activist Collective) is a loose knit group of video
makers based in Toronto who document and explore social activism
through video. VideoActive is TVAC's irregular compilation of short
videos, rants and animated shorts. http://www.tvac.ca
OVAC (Ottawa video Activist Collective) is a new and forming group.
