Intenet SuperServer

  331 ? S 0:00 inetd

This process provides for running infrequently used network servers. It should be disabled by removing /etc/rc.d/init.d/S50inet.

If there are desired services that are normally run from inetd that are desired (according the security policy, this may include IMAP), those services should be run independantly of inetd.

If inetd must be run, then only services that fit the security policy should be enabled in the /etc/inetd.conf. See section 8 for details on currently enabled services from inetd.
