(A) Announcing PLANETFRIENDLY.NET - phase I
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am happy to announce the launch of the People- & Planet-
Friendly website (phase I). The site has been in various states
of construction for a while, but just last week it was finally
installed in its own, easy-to-remember domain:
www.planetfriendly.net
Phase I features subscription, submission & feedback forms,
back issues, how-to's, resources, and lots of great links. It's
an excellent first stop for anyone who wants to learn about the
Planet-Friendly -- or about many of the topics & events we've
covered. Check out the archives, links, and other content of
the site -- convenient direct links are provided below.
=== Please help spread the word! ===
The Planet-Friendly reaches several thousand people each
week -- which means there are SEVERAL MILLION people
who probably AREN'T hearing about these events, issues,
and opportunities.
Word-of-mouth, forwards and links can help spread the word
to many more people. If you tell someone about the Planet-
Friendly, be sure to mention the website. The _best_ way to
show someone what the Planet-Friendly is all about is to
forward them the latest edition. But if you can't, or if you're
not at your computer -- please tell them to check out
www.planetfriendly.net
=== Phase Two ===
At this time we are not able to put the contents of every
week's newsletter onto the website, in an organized and
accessible manner. So the e-mail newsletter continues to
be the best way to hear about each week's events.
Phase II, scheduled for launch later this year, will include an
on-line database of events and resources. You will be able to
quickly find events in your area, events & resources on a
specific topic, events within a specific date range, etc. If
possible, we also hope to include a larger, better-organized
directory of links & resources... and other features, to be
announced.
Please read on to learn more about the highlights of the site,
and how to help spread the word or help build Phase II.
